I’m not a great painter. I’m way too smart to be a great painter. Great painters are stupid.”  Dalì

In this painting workshop we want to experiment different artistic modalities in relation with the uses that have been made by the greatest painters of the past. The aim is to realize an actual exhibition, recalling and reworking famous paintings and the techniques to achieve them.

The work aims to the creation of a book, a story or a scenic representation. The dominant theme is that of the “tear” and the “cut” connected to the considerations that arise with the development of the work. It begins using a simple material like paper and it then get to painting on wood, with the aid of materials such as sand or chalk, and the use of sculptural tools, in order to create a shared work on a large scale.
